Japanese independent Kurono Tokyo is the brainchild of watchmaker Hajime Asaoka. Under the mandate of bringing Asaoka’s design sensibility to the masses using assembly line manufacturing — rather than the handmade haute horlogerie pieces for which he is primarily known — the company is able to offer beautiful watches for several thousand dollars, rather than tens of thousands.

The Kurono Toki Anniversary is a special edition made with a dial that honors the Japanese ibis, a bird whose plumage is reminiscent of the rising sun. Housed in a 37mm stainless steel case, this particular Toki Anniversary watch features a metallic coral radial sunburst dial, applied quadrant indices with a matching syringe handset, an unsigned crown, a sapphire crystal, the workhorse Miyota 90S5 automatic movement, and a black calf leather strap with a signed pin buckle.

One thing’s for sure: Few contemporary watches feature this kind of flair for this kind of money!

OVERALL CONDITION

Case is in outstanding, virtually unworn condition overall showing only faint wear from gentle use. Sunburst coral dial with applied quadrant indices is in as-new condition with matching 'syringe' handset. Unsigned crown.

10-Day Returns For Timepieces:

Timepieces purchased online can be returned or exchanged within 10 days from when they are shipped or collected.

30-Day Returns For All Other Purchases:

All other online purchases can be returned or exchanged within 30 days from when they are shipped or collected.

On presentation of the original receipt, your purchases may be returned or exchanged at any of our store locations. Alternatively, you may elect shipping to our facility with all the original paperwork. All refunds must be credited to the same tender used for the original purchase. To return the online purchases through secure shipping service, please contact our client service team who will provide you the shipping label.

All returns or exchanges must be in new, unworn condition, with no scratches or markings, not sized or adjusted and in their original packaging and with warranty cards / certificated and instruction booklets.
