Pink is the new black.

And we’re ecstatic about it. For whatever reason – hyper femininity, we’re looking at you – pink has been a neglected colour over the last century. But the tide has turned: pink is all over the runway, plastered on our football kits, and taking centre stage in our homes.

The world of horology has, likewise, kept up and pink has emerged as a key trend this year. At Watches and Wonders 2022, a notable number of brands – including Oris, Patek Philippe, and Vacheron Constantin – created pink novelties that left us rosy in our cheeks. Others have since followed suit.

So as the heatwave comes to an end and the grey nights draw it, inject a statement colour into your watch collection and brighten up your wardrobe. Or, simply, celebrate all shades of pink with us here on Calibre as we showcase our very favourite pink timepieces this 2022…

Oris ProPilot X Calibre 300

A star of Watches and Wonders 2022, the Oris ProPilot X features a delectable salmon dial, encased in a titanium-cased watch inspired by more than a century of aviation heritage, and powered by Oris’ five-day automatic.

The taut, angular lines of the aviation-inspired form are satin and sandblasted, giving the watch its raw, technical look, and complemented by the familiar ProPilot bezel. The oversized crown is also titanium, and flanked by protectors, whilst the multi-piece titanium case with satin and sandblasted finishes sits at a comfortable 39mm.

OMEGA Constellation 28mm

The dramatic and enduring design of the OMEGA Constellation is characterised by its famous half-moons, “claws” on the case and mono-rang bracelet. This 28mm model is set against a striking blush rose dial, and features indexes and applied elements in 18K white gold, whilst the OMEGA Calibre 4061 sits at the heart of the timepiece.

To give the bezel an extra pop of colour, OMEGA has highlighted the engraved Roman numerals in the same blush pastel shade.

TAG Heuer Aquaracer 300

Vibrant and bold; The TAG Heuer Aquaracer is an invitation to surpass oneself and is driven by the Calibre 5 automatic movement. Featuring a wave-motif pink-lacquered dial with diamond dot markers, the timepiece is as fashion-forward as it is a functional dive watch. The 60-minute scale helps measure the elapsed dive time, whilst the pressure-proof, tapered steel bracelet is secured by safety push buttons on the buckle.

Grand Seiko “Shunbun” Spring Dive

Combining a stunning textured dial with a light pink dial, this Grand Seiko “Shunbun” Spring Drive is a feast for the eyes. Taking strong inspiration from Japanese culture, the dial of this watch is inspired by the fleeting Japanese Spring pink cherry blossom season – when Sakura blossoms fall into the water, swirl and float – called ‘Hanaikada,’ or flower rafts.

This timepiece is powered by the brand’s iconic Spring Drive movement, one of the most significant developments in recent watchmaking which took 28 years to develop, and has a power reserve of up to 72-hours.
