Why We Love It

When you think of Omega, no doubt the sporty Speedmaster and the Seamaster Professional lines come to mind - and rightfully so. Of course those knowledgable about horological history know that Omega has been releasing - quietly and without much fanfare - understated dress pieces distinctive enough to catch the eye of any purist for decades.

This particular 'DeVille', a Reference 511.0504, dates to circa 1975 and features a 28.5mm x 29mm steel case with crisp beveling, a textured silver dial with printed "Roman" indices and an feuille handset, Omega's Calibre 625 hand-cranking movement and a sapphire cabochon winding crown.

In excellent condition throughout, this piece offers Omega pedigree and performance in a versatile and affordable package that is suitable for any wrist.

The Story

In the aftermath of World War II, Omega, the prolific Swiss manufacture that had poured most of its production efforts into military-grade wristwatches for pilots and officers, dusted itself off and dived headlong into producing consumer pieces once again. But unlike the pre-war years, Omega sought to build watches that could be worn in more everyday conditions, watches that could look good on the wrist while also standing up to the onslaught of travel, weather and daily use.

Many of the watches produced in the years immediately following the war were infused with the lessons that Omega had learned while producing reliable wristwatches for servicemen; they used stainless steel cases with simple, stalwart movements, kept dials uncluttered and legible and dotted them with radium for added visibility in low-light environs.

Return Policy

Our commitment to you does not end at delivery. We offer the following return services to make your experience as pleasant as possible.

10-Day Returns For Timepieces:

Timepieces purchased online can be returned or exchanged within 10 days from when they are shipped or collected.

30-Day Returns For All Other Purchases:

All other online purchases can be returned or exchanged within 30 days from when they are shipped or collected.

On presentation of the original receipt, your purchases may be returned or exchanged at any of our store locations. Alternatively, you may elect shipping to our facility with all the original paperwork. All refunds must be credited to the same tender used for the original purchase. To return the online purchases through secure shipping service, please contact our client service team who will provide you the shipping label.

All returns or exchanges must be in new, unworn condition, with no scratches or markings, not sized or adjusted and in their original packaging and with warranty cards / certificated and instruction booklets.
